What is an ESA?

State funding. Your family's choice.

An Education Savings Account is state-funded money — typically $4,800–$10,500 per child per year — that parents can spend on approved education outside public school. Tutors, microschools, online classes, therapies, curriculum, even private school tuition.

💰

Funded by your state

Deposited quarterly or annually into an account you control.

🎓

Approved for almost anything educational

Tutoring, microschools, online classes, therapies, curriculum.

📱

Pay with your ESA card

ClassWallet, Odyssey, Step Up — Class Bridge handles compliance receipts.

Unused funds roll over

Save up for bigger expenses like microschool tuition or therapies.

Every state runs its ESA program differently — different amounts, eligibility rules, and authorizing bodies. 21 states have active programs today.

How it works

ESA money flows in three steps

1

Your state deposits funds

If your state has an active ESA program and your child qualifies, the state deposits funds into your account each quarter or year.

2

You spend on approved expenses

Use your ESA funds to pay for tutoring, therapy, microschool tuition, curriculum, online classes — depending on your state's rules.

3

Class Bridge handles the rest

Find vetted providers, book sessions, and pay with your ESA card — we handle the receipts, compliance, and paperwork.

Resources

Tools, curriculum plans, community resources, and events to support your homeschool and ESA journey.

The ESA Curriculum Creator

Most states with ESA programs require parents to submit a curriculum plan as part of their application or annual renewal. This plan outlines what your child will learn, how they'll learn it, and which materials you'll use. Without an approved curriculum, your ESA funding can be delayed or denied.

That's where Class Bridge's Curriculum Creator comes in. We've pre-loaded ready-to-use curriculum plans for every major subject, broken down by grade level. Pick one, customize it, and submit it — or use them as a starting point to build your own. Every curriculum here is aligned with common state standards and has been used by real ESA families.

Required for ESA approval

Most states won't release your funds without a submitted curriculum plan. This tool helps you meet that requirement fast.

Save 20+ hours of planning

Instead of starting from scratch, start with a proven plan. Customize the parts that matter to your family.

📝

Why you need a curriculum plan

ESA programs give parents the freedom to choose — but with that freedom comes the responsibility to show your state how you're educating your child. A curriculum plan is your roadmap, and most states require it for funding approval.
